Statistics helps us understand data. In this lesson you will learn about the mean, median, mode and range, and how to show data with charts.

1 · Mean, median and mode
平均數、中位數和眾數
These are three ways to find the "average":
這是三種找出「平均」的方法：
- Mean — total divided by how many.平均數——總和除以數量。
- Median — the middle number when sorted.中位數——排序後中間的數。
- Mode — the most common number.眾數——出現最多的數。
🔑 Key idea
For 2, 4, 6: mean = 4, median = 4, mode = none (all appear once).
對於 2、4、6：平均數 = 4，中位數 = 4，沒有眾數（每個只出現一次）。
2 · Range
範圍
The range shows how spread out the data is. It is the biggest value minus the smallest value. A big range means the data is spread out.
範圍顯示數據分散的程度。它是最大值減去最小值。範圍大代表數據分散。
3 · Charts
圖表
A bar chart compares amounts.
棒形圖用棒來比較數量。
We show data with charts. A bar chart uses bars to compare amounts. A pie chart is a circle divided into slices to show parts of a whole.
